CAROLINE WACHSMUTH
Caroline is a beauty and lifestyle entrepreneur, author, and healing artist. She began her career as a journalist before gaining recognition in 2002 for launching Doux me in Paris — the first organic-certified skincare line in France. Her pioneering vision helped spark the green beauty movement, earning her brand and signature beautyroom international acclaim, extensive press coverage, and a devoted global following that included celebrities and industry insiders. Over the course of a decade, Caroline built Doux me into a multi award-winning, cult-status brand before successfully exiting the business.
She went on to publish Seasons, a DIY beauty and art book released in three editions, while also creating for select brands such as L’Artisan Parfumeur and natural beauty store Credo, and contributing her vision and expertise to make-up and skincare brand Violette_fr from its inception to the present day.
She also a lifelong student of holistic wellness, Caroline has studied aromatherapy, massage therapy, yoga, and Reiki since 1997. Her creative and intuitive approach blends product design, healing arts, and editorial work – shared through magazines, her site, and Instagram. After living across 15 cities on 3 continents, she’s now based between Geneva, Paris, and Cape Town, leading Apium Lab and constantly co-creating with kindred creatives.
